Great bar in a historic law office. The owner makes one of the best old fashions in town along with whatever drink you desire. Just about every night I've been there, there has been local, up and coming, sometimes nationally acclaimed musicians. Highly recommended for people visiting Lexington from out of town or the country.

Oh let me count the ways I love the place!! Historical and beautiful ambiance, thoughtful GM, just loud enough music... When it comes to cocktails and, especially those of the bourbon variety, this place simply can not be beat. They support the local music scene but it's never clubby or too loud to hold a conversation. They also have I think about 6 taps? With a focus on craft and a larger selection in bottles and cans. Seriously, you couldn't ask much more of a bar. They even serve free popcorn which I love for snacking and keeping the place from smelling, well, like a bar. If you have the unique pleasure of being served by Richard count yourself lucky. He's the best!!

One of the best original music venues in Lexington! Hopefully, you can see a Sundy Best or Brother Smith show there!

Great bar! The live music was good and everyone in my big group had a chair to sit on. We devoured I can't tell you how many containers of popcorn they give away for free. It was pretty crowded but we still had a good time.

My favorite spot in town! Great place to grab a drink and chill. Warm atmosphere and great acoustics! Thursdays are karaoke night and they frequently have live bands on Fridays and Saturdays.

Love this place. There is a high table at the back... If you like writing... Sit back there, get a glass of wine... And then you will know what I am talking about :) Great live music every time I have been there, for me, the best has been Fat Phil Band. Richard is the kindest host ever, and Jessica the best Barista :)

I love the live music that plays on the stage and the folks behind the bar are literally the nicest people you’ll ever meet! I love how the owner will come out and help his staff when it gets a little busy as well. All around I find it a great place to hang out and have amazing drinks! Oh and don’t forget to ask for the free popcorn! The location right off of Main Street in downtown Lexington gives the bar a unique feel along with the historical ties to Henry Clay himself adds a whole different element to this Lexington landmark!

Visited on a Thursday night while traveling with my son as he toured UKs Law School. An incredibly welcoming place where you can tell people enjoy each other's company. The owner made us feel appreciated and was a tremendous conversationalist. A lot of fun. You won't regret stopping. I look forward to another visit.

What a wonderful fun sport to meet friends, enjoy a variety of delicious beverages, appreciate great tunes from live music groups, like the The Ringers! The long bar is unusual to see and provides special charm. The free basket of popcorn complements a delicious brew and invites a second, after an appropriate amount of time, of course! If you've not been, you need to visit with a friend or two. It's a local treasure.

I reaaally love this spot! It was very unsuspecting!! I sort of expected an old, boring dive bar, but it was super cool! It honored the history of the building, it was super cool with neat architecture, the bartender who took care of of me was SUPER kind and he was very helpful, and there was even amazing live music!! I don’t even expect or intend to see live music tonight, but it was a pleasant treat and the lady who was singing (Dec. 10, 2025) was AMAZING!! This is a great, casual bar to stop into, and it manages to make you feel connected with Kentucky history and the Lexington community, too! :) ❤️
